I would like to take a moment to give my strongest recommendation to Kokomo Construction for the quality and standards of their work. In June of 2013 our family purchased 10 acres in Olden, Texas for the purpose of building a house and we contracted with Kokomo Construction and Neal and Ellen Weaver for their services. Their response and efforts were exceptional. In every way we found them to be filled with integrity and promptness to our needs and our home was completed within the time frame proposed. The quality of their work is outstanding. The pricing and their ability to work within our budget to provide a quality custom built home far exceeded our expectations. I also have friends that they build a lodge for during the same time frame and even though the company was busy, they stayed on schedule as much as the weather and circumstances would allow. We have lived in our new home since December of 2013 and have no complaints with their response to the little touch up items or needs that arise after the fact in construction. Neal and Ellen are quality Christian builders who take the right approach to helping people who want a home constructed get what they want at a price they can afford. I have known Neal and Ellen and their family for over fifteen year, even before they began Kokomo Construction and have found them to be just who they appear to be in every area, quality, godly, hardworking people who have instilled those values into their son’s families as well. I would urge you to give them a chance to help you in your construction project and would make myself available if you need further information.
To whom it may concern:We would like to highly recommend Kokomo Construction as a great builder in the Eastland area. We recently moved into our new home, and couldn’t be happier! When we decided to build, we contracted with Neal and Ellen based on their glowing recommendations. And everything turned out to be just as recommended. They delivered an awesome home within our budget and on time. They even went over and above to make sure we were in on time.Neal and Ellen are honest, professional, and easy to work with. When we started out, we had a picture in our minds of a simple structure that grew as we put it on paper. We knew exactly what we wanted, and Neal helped us to achieve our dream. If we forgot something, Neal helped us remember. He had lots of ideas to consider which we didn’t think of up front. When issues arose, Neal and Ellen had ideas/solutions that turned out to be better than the original design. Not everything turned out perfect at first, but Neal made everything right. We plan to build Phase II in the near future, and we would not think of using anyone but Kokomo!
I have personally known, and been doing business with Neal Weaver for 28 years. He and his wife Ellen are both very high quality , hard working, faith based, family oriented, folks. They have worked their entire adult life with one thing in mind. DO THE RIGHT THING. I am happy to be used as a reference, and I think you will never find a builder with more honesty and dependability than KOKOMO Construction.
It is my pleasure to recommend, without reservation, Neal and Ellen Weaver of Kokomo Construction Company. They have just helped us complete our dream “Country Home”.From design, site selection, utility installation, home construction, and finish out, the Kokomo team handled every detail. Neal was very accommodating of any design changes we wanted and our home was completed in a timely manner and within budget. The quality of their work is outstanding. The finish work, i.e. paint, cabinets, hardwood floors/ceiling, stained concrete, granite are beautiful and exceeded my expectations.
My wife and I were referred to Kokomo Construction by an old friend. We took our plans in rather rough form to Neal and he helped us through the planning process, making changes where needed due to structural requirements. Once the plans were final, he gave us a bid and an estimate of 110 days to finish the project. We considered other builders and options, but decided that Kokomo Construction, and particularly Neal and Ellen Weaver, would be the best choice and the most compatible to our plans and over-all goals for the project.Once the dirt work began on May 5th, there were very few week days that were not very busy at the building site. Neal was there almost every day at some point to be sure things were being done to his satisfaction and that we were pleased with the results. There were several aspects to the construction that evolved somewhat during the process, and whenever changes needed to be made, we were in the loop to assure we agreed and the best option was also one that fit our vision of the finished product.Neal was very helpful and his experience came into play as we worked through the details and our new home was completed by September 15th. Considering the house has a total of 5600 square feet, has rock veneer exterior with a custom fireplace, an 18-1/2 foot vaulted ceiling in the living area and is loaded with custom features, we were very pleased with being only a few days behind schedule. Competitors were giving estimates of 9 months to a year.I have done several structures myself, and I can say with confidence that the materials and workmanship put into our home was second to none. This project like any others had its problems, but all were taken care of to our satisfaction. After working with Neal and Ellen through this detail oriented, inherently stressful project, if we were to build another home anytime soon, Kokomo Construction would be our first call.
When we began our journey to build our home, we thought we knew who would probably build it; however, there were scheduling issues, so we began our search for a builder. We asked around and Neal Weaver, Kokomo Construction Company came as a recommendation. At our initial consultations, we were most impressed by Neal’s character and how he viewed his job and company.Neal and Ellen were careful to listen to us and what we wanted. They brought ideas to us that we would not have thought of, i.e. vaulted ceiling designs, rope lights on top of the kitchen cabinets, and the type of insulation. At no point did they say they could not do something. We gave them the price range we were looking at, along with the plans and they stayed within our budget, which was a plus.Yes, there were times that Neal was busy and our call was not promply returned, but anytime that happened we could shoot Ellen an e-mail and things were handledWe love our home. We made a good choice in selecting our builder.
We would like to take this opportunity to commend Kokomo Construction for a job well done on our new home. Neal Weaver met with us several times before we decided to go with Kokomo Construction to answer all the questions we had. We were impressed with his desire to please, his integrity, and his knowledge of construction. Our project began in April 2010 and ended in September 2010. There were no major problems along the way and all the subcontractors used by Kokomo Construction were the best in their field. We can honestly say we got everything we wanted and more from Kokomo Construction - the result turned out even better than we could have imagined! Neal and Ellen are fair, honest, and eager to please. They want to be sure everything is exactly what the homeowner wants. Personally, we would highly recommend Kokomo Construction for your next project.
